After we haul your items, we sort the load and route it three ways: usable goods are donated to local charities, recyclable materials like metal and electronics go to recyclers, and only what is left over goes to a licensed disposal facility. Our goal is to keep as much as possible out of the landfill.
Step one: we sort the load
Not all junk is the same. The moment we collect your items, we are already thinking about where each piece should go. Loads get sorted into broad categories: items that can be donated, materials that can be recycled, and waste that must be disposed of.
Donation: giving items a second life
Plenty of what people call junk is still perfectly usable. Furniture, working appliances, household goods and more can help a local family or charity. When items are in good condition, we route them to donation partners rather than the dump.
Recycling: recovering materials
Many items are full of recoverable materials. We recycle whenever a local facility will accept the material.

- Yard waste and clean wood where accepted
Responsible disposal for the rest
Whatever cannot be donated or recycled goes to a licensed disposal facility that follows local regulations. We never illegally dump, and we keep hazardous materials out of our trucks entirely, since those require specialized handling.

Recycling and donation outcomes always depend on item condition and what local facilities will accept, but our goal on every job is to divert as much as we responsibly can.
